I believe it's appropriate to have a slight introduction to the wonderful world of SMKTC's PRS.
"The counselling room is located near to the staffs’ room.
4 counselors and a group of PRS play a major role in keeping the school’s counselling unit
running.
This unit helps students to deal with friends, families and any other problems by giving verbal advices and strong supports.
PRS, also known as a organization that helps in the counseling unit are highly trained students who are ready to help others students who need advices.
This group of students and counselors are very experienced as they have to attend many camps and seminars each year round to enhance their counseling skills.
With the collaboration of teachers and students, students will feel more comfortable to share and voice out their difficulties, fears and concerns.
This year, they are holding on to the theme “Help yourself before helping others”.
They are encouraging students to think for themselves first before bothering about others as the saying goes “see the log in your eyes before looking at the speck in your brother’s eyes”.
Other than giving advices on personal problems, this unit also plays the role of an education counselor.
They provide many information and references for those who are interested to further their studies in colleges or university, choosing courses or applying for scholarship.
Any advices given and problems shared will be kept confidential so students need not worry."
